MOR RTJ Gaskets are solid metallic sealing rings suitable for high pressure and temperature applications. To be used in Ring Groove type flanges.
It is widely used in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer, Refinery, Power plants, valves and pipe work.
Choice of material may depend to suit temperature and media.
It complies to ASME B16.20 standards and API 6A spec (where applicable) to suit API 6B and ASME/ANSI B16.5 flanges.
The gasket hardness is carefully controlled and is always softer than the mating flanges to ensure a good seal and also to ensure no damage to the flange surface.
All RTJ gaskets are manufactured to fully traceable materials and are stamped to the requirements of API 6A (PSL4) & ASME B16.20
The gaskets are machined to the required tolerances and surface finish using high quality CNC lathes.
All Soft Iron, Low Carbon Steel & F5 RTJ gaskets are electroplated with yellow zinc of 0.005” to 0.0127” thick in accordance with API specs.
Style R
Style R gaskets are available in Oval and Octagonal cross section.
Oval ring fits in round & flat bottom ring groove flanges while Octagonal fits in flat bottom ring groove flanges only.
Style RX
Style RX is pressure energized version of the Style R Octagonal gasket and fits a flat bottom groove.
It has increased height and utilizes the internal system pressure to energize and improve the seal as internal pressure increases. Some RX sizes have a pressure relief/balancing hole to equalize pressure of both sides of the sealing faces.
Style BX
Style BX has a pressure relief hole to equalize pressure across sealing faces. It’s efficiency increases as internal pressure increases.
These gaskets are used in API 6BX flanges.
Apart from these 3 available types, SRX & SBX are used for subsea applications to suit API 17D flanges.
IX rings are used for compact flanges.
Other custom made rings are also available like Combination, Delta, Insert Rings, Semi- Lenticular, Welded Ring, etc to customer specification. Nitrile Rubber Coated Ring Gaskets are used for testing wellhead assemblies.
Lens Ring Gaskets
These gaskets have spherical sealing faces designed to fit mating flanged recesses, providing a high pressure & temperature seal.
Available in all grades of material as that of RTJ and are made to DIN standards.
